Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.c.i.a.)
Not Catholic yet? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.c.i.a.) began on September 15, 2011. Classes are held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the Lourdes Center.
A special invitation is extended to: Those who have never been baptized but who are now being led by God to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) in His Holy Catholic Church; Those who were baptized in another faith tradition but who are now being led by God to the fullness of truth and life in His Holy Catholic Church; Those who were baptized in the Catholic Church, but not raised in it, and who are now being led by God to learn their faith and to complete their initiation in His Holy Catholic Church; or, Those who were fully initiated in the faith of the Catholic Church but who, for one reason or another, abandoned the practice of their Catholic Faith and who are now being led by God to return to His Holy Catholic Church and the reception of the Sacraments. Also invited are practicing Catholics: Who wish to deepen their own faith; Who wish to support by prayer, penance, and presence those who will enter or return to the Church; and/or Who wish to be available to act as a sponsor for someone entering or returning to the Church.

Religious Education For Students (K12) and Preschool Children

Religious Education Notes. No Religious Education classes on February 19 due to President’s Day.

Regular classes are Sundays from 9:10-10:15 a.m. in Lourdes Hall. Parents can register children ages 3 years old through grade 12 at the Rectory during regular hours. Registration forms and the school year calendar can be found below.

New Time for High School Students. High School Religious Education students meet 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. two Sundays a month. We study the teen version of Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body. Fun and food included. Dates of classes located on the right side of the Religious Education calendar. All High School students are welcome.

Preschool Religious Education. Preschool Religious Education meets two times each month. The next class will be held on February 5th, 2012.
Preschool CCD Class is at the same time as the older children’s CCD program, from 9:10 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. Sunday mornings. All children ages 3 to 5 years old are welcome and parents may stay or drop off their child. Contact our Dre, Marian Hartzell at (703) 359-8963 for more information.
